Laurel and Lindsey are enjoying their first try at soccer this winter. They play indoors at the YMCA. We were blessed with an opportunity to speak to about 60 parents outside of Spokane, Washington last Friday and Saturday. We were blessed with good weather this Halloween. We started with games and stuff at the YMCA then on to the historic district for some classic trick-or-treating. I think for our part it was only treating. Billings received 16-22” of snow this last weekend (10/11/08-10/12/08). The girls enjoyed it. Bambi and I recently returned from speaking at an AWANA ministry conference in Spokane, Washington. This was our second year there. They enjoyed Bambi so much last year, they invited us to return.

We represent the NCBP at conferences and we also present a parenting seminar for them. Laurel and Lindsey are involved with Cross Country this fall. Some days they like the running, some days not so much.

The summer had some events of note. Bambi and I were able to get away to a retreat sans children in July. We spent some QT with brothers and sisters in Christ at a resort in Tennessee.

I was able to get in a couple of backpacking trips--both in Montana this year. Good hikes, breathtaking scenery, wonderful company, and good fishing.

We recently returned from a week up in northwestern Montana. We spent time at Swan Lake (at our friend Sam’s cabin), Kalispell, and Glacier National Park. Made many memories along the way.
